"I’m starting to realize that maybe messy relationships are better. Not forever, but for now. Because yeah, there are a lot of plans cancelled last minute and screaming matches at midnight but there are also a lot of spontaneous weekend road trips and drinking wine on the fire escape in the middle of the night. I get why stability is desirable but I don’t want to know what to expect. Sometimes I want a ‘come outside’ text at 3am more than I want a planned dinner together after work. This might be because I get bored easily but it’s also because I don’t know what I want and whenever I think I’ve figured it out, it changes. And someone who’s constantly changing needs a love that reflects that."

"You’ve felt it, haven’t you? Those feelings that seem to get so big in your chest, like something is so beautiful it aches?"

"Your diet, exercise routine and stress level lay the foundation for how you feel, so fuel your bod with good nutrition, break a little sweat each day and set aside time to unwind. Because it’s hard to feel bad about a body you’re taking great care of."

"It’s that thing when you’re with someone and you love them and they know it and they love you and you know it but it’s a party and you’re both talking to other people and you’re laughing and shining and you look across the room and catch each other’s eyes. But not because you’re possessive, or it’s precisely sexual, but because that is your person in this life and it’s funny and sad but only because this life will end and it’s this secret world that exists right there. In public. Unnoticed. That no one else knows about. It’s sort of like how they say that other dimensions exist all around us but we don’t have the ability to perceive them. That’s what I want out of a relationship. Or just life, I guess."
